General Wargaming

need a set of rule....... :)

Posted by myname96 on 05 Jan 2013, 21:56

I’ve been playing a lot of DBA lately and am looking for something a little different. I’m looking for a good set of rules for a small unit (20-30 men per side) skirmish game in the black powder era, (AWI, Nap, ACW). I want something simple and fast pace like DBA, and free. Does anybody know of some rules that I could use?

Do you want individual based figures or elements like DBA?

You could maybe visit the "two hours wargames" web site.

Basically, the game mecanism is to take reaction tests each time you need on the reputation of your figures.

For example, if someone is shooting at you you've got three possibilities under the rate of your reputation on 2 D6.

0 succeed you hide and you don't do anything.
1 succeed you shoot inaccurately.
2 succeed you shoot back.

The better way to test the game before buying one specific rule is to download the basic rules (chain reaction and swordplay). And they're free !!!!

Hope you'll have fun with that !!!
