Thanks for the compliments guys

This was a nice duel Paul; and I hope you have the others ready also by now, so that the countdown of your Airfix quest is advancing

Note: we both had problems taking pictures of our figure (bad weather and not the right light).

Paul said it; this figure IS John Wayne ;-)

Not in every film. He plays a parachute officer in "the longest day". Great film about the Allied invasion 1944. Perhaps you are far too young to know that old stuff. ;-)

those are not the Sten guns in that set, they have the Para model of the M1 carbine, their interpretation of the 'Grease' gun and the Thompson SMG . I know what PSR says but I think he is mistaken possibly.

I've seen The Longest Day many a time (much better than Saving Private Ryan me thinks) i never noticed that was John Wayne though

Now THAT is embarrassing Monty jeez not recognizing John Wayne in The Longest Day for shame for shame. It is a more accurate movie than Saving Private Ryan but the feel of Saving Private Ryan is very close to the real thing though which is sadly lacking (although it was in the '60's) in The Longest Day. Still It is one of my Favorites with all the Hollywood stars ( too long to list them hehe)
but Monty :whip: :spank: :-D
