According to my research, the 2nd (Dutch) Lancers did not have the N on the front of the blanket. I tried to scrape the N of for my entry, but unfortunately it can still be seen.
Leaving that aside, I though the entry of Mr. X was very well done. For one thing, he stole my thunder by converting this Polish Uhlan into a Dutch Lancer as I did. And from the voting, it was a spirited duel to be sure. I ran out of time, and did not paint the straps on the saddle roll black as they should have been, and Mr. X has correctly done two blue stripes on the trousers.
These are the most votes ever cast in a duel I participated in. Thanks for Remco for his efforts to keep it near the top.
I had trouble with this entry because the paint kept rubbing off. Duels are usually horse-painting contests that happen to have a rider on top, and I love the colors of the horse of Mr. X. I had planned to build from black with layers to a light orange-brown, but I stopped after the first subtle hints of flat brown were blended in because I liked the way that looked.
Thanks to all who voted and thanks again to Mr. X who has risen to the task for 12 duels in 12 months!
