Well guys, it seems Mr.X does make a bad start, he lost again.
When I got his entry I tought he would win this one, and we had te wait a while to get the entry
of the winner: Jan (Mabo) and at that time I tought this wil be a close call duel.
But the voters think differen, a clear win for Jan, so congratulations.
And Mr. X, you still got 10 times to win, so don't worry!
I would like to thank all the voters, 28 in total so that is cool.
Now you all can think who is mr. X, and maubee think now is my turn to duel him.
Just pick a free month, and you be part of the fun as well!

Congratulations to both. It was tough choice but Jan's painted robe is really awesome.

Great job by both painters! I really enjoyed looking at the entries this time.

I ended up opting for Door No. 2 because I liked the choice of colors a bit better and I preferred the quality of the second photograph.

Congrats to Mr.X! And I am sorry for being a little late. Shame on me.

It was very tempting to paint a Persian Immortal Guardsman. I have a deep respect for these colourful army, since I stood in front of the Ishtar Gate in Berlin. But I am happy to made a first step. I have ordered special Vallejo bottles for it. Thanks to all who had voted for my entry.

The figure is nice, but challenging. I have primed my Persian army more than one year ago and it has not seen my brush yet. Every time I take it out of the drawer I got frustrated by the complexity of the uniforms, their color and decorations, and put them back. I therefore admired the work of Jan, his choice of colors, how he managed the tunic decorations. Brilliant! He got my vote and Mr. X my respect.

I am in the same situation than Mr. Andrea: figures primed, but that's all. The Persian dresses are among the most challenging clothes to paint in 1/72. Both painters here have done a very good job, which I am not sure to complete this year :)

So, congratulations to both :yeah:
