This is how a duel should be, exciting until the end.
And in the end we have a tie, so congratulations to both duelists!
Mr. X and Jan (Mabo) took a revange, with two completely different looking figures.
Thanks both for dueling, and thanks to all who voted!
A job well done by both, suberb.

Will Jan punish me when I say I voted for Mr X?

Both figures are excellent painted, but you have to choose and I voted for the blue one! Congrats to both!

Two great entries that resulted into a tough duel. And tough was the choice. I see Mr. X went down really strong this time: a fine white line on the tricorn, a precise eye, nice shading of hands, nice work on the bag. Jan confirmed his high painting standard. I eventually voted for Jan: I like more his shadowing on uniform, face and hair. Congrats to both contenders!

I had to look at each picture for a long time. Then I waited to cast my vote for a day or two. I returned to this thread and looked again.

How to pick between two such excellent entries? In the end I chose the first because I appreciate the detail work on the weapons and equipment. The elaborate symbol on the flap of the cartridge pouch broke the tie.

Sorry Jan, your entry was great. Maybe you have an elaborate symbol on the cartrididge pouch, too? If so, I could not see it in the photo.

A tie, then, is the perfect outcome.

What a nice duel again. Congrats to Mr.X and thanks to all who voted for my figure. It was so close that in the end the tie is fine. And now I am once more interested: Who is Mr.X? 3 months to go...

Hi Jan
Nice work you presented again...., but I admit voting for Mr X. I liked the pouch and the close up picture style. Of course, I reckognized Mr X having just lost to him.
It was a hard choice. Your shading is delicate and a real treat. The outcome does you both justice
Waiting for happier days when we can see the figures in live at Bennos Figz

Both entries were great quality. I had a serious problem having to chosse between them. And the same has been translated into the result: tie of votes for the two figures.

My very best congratulations for both artists. :yeah:

Santi.

I completely missed the August duel, so I was pleased when it looked like Mr. X had the same opponent for this one and I had a second chance to vote.

Two great entries, I was very impressed by the emblem painted on the cartridge box of Mr. X's figure and also the facial details. But it was the subtle shading on Jan's that got my vote.
