In the beginning this duel was close (10-10) but in the end it seems that Mr. Andrea beat Mr. X
So congratulations to Andrea, and better luck next month Mr. X.
It was a fun duel, and cool both figures had another colored uniform!
Thanks for the duel, and to the voters who made it extra fun!

Note: we still are looking for 4 duelers, so pick a free mont today!

Congrats to both duelers for fantastic entries. I did vote for Mr. X because of the bold green colors used in the uniform as well as the brighter picture. But it was a tough, tough choice.

Mr. Andrea's entry was deserving as well. Splendid job of painting the manufacturer's intended subject and sublime detail. I believe Mr. Andrea remains undefeated, lifetime, against every Mr. X he has dueled against.

Very hard choice! I like both entries very much. But as Aaron said already: The brighter pictures and the painting conversion of the Zvezda Old Guard made it for me. But as the result pointed out once more, Andrea is a phantastic painter. All of his Napoleonic Frenchmen are really eyecandy. I will never paint like this. So, Congats to both and thanks for making the world brighter in April with this duel in hard times.

I liked a lot Mr. X interpretation of the uniform: the color scheme is really appealing. What I liked most of his work is the eagle on the giberne: outstanding!! It was fun duel as always and it brought me back to napoleonics after a break on medieval English (neverending DBA army, yet to finish) and some GW Blood Bowl figures.
And I am glad Jan already reminded about my defeat against him, damn it!

Great Duel, congrats to both!
This was duel between two different painting styles.
50 shades of white against play with sharp and dark contrasts.
Anthem singing old Velite from Guardia Italiano versus harsh English speaking youngster from Vieille Garde.

What were you thinking, Mr.X?
Clearly it was told to you earlier by Bluefalchion and Mr.Andrea, that you win because of BLUE.
And now you go against blue with white?! Amateur!
It was your best work so far and you loose!

I hope, that Mr.X is now very angry and I give him another chance to beat me in Duel. :-)
I understand and respect that you are dedicated to 1:72 figures and don’t want to paint smaller chaps like 6mm or 10mm.
But 1:100 isn’t so much smaller, it is almost 1:72.
Look at this eye candy, what a lovely Dutch officer, and it may wear BLUE uniform.

He want to be painted by you and you can’t resist.
And if you still deny to paint, think what Benno and others may think about you if you refuse to paint DUTCH Officer! ;-)

Great duel with two wonderfull painted figures! Congrats to both!

I voted for the white uniform. In my opinion just a bit more difficult to paint. ;-)

Two very good entries, the way Mr. X handled the white uniform is very impressive. But I voted for Mr. Andrea, I liked the overall picture and, I have to confess to some bias towards Frenchmen in blue.
