And this was duel nr. 2 for mr.X 2017...
First of all a big respect from me, cause this is a 6mm figure!
Unfortunately mr.X did't make it to be the winner this time.
It was Sho, a master in 6mm painting.
But still I was amazed how good mr. X did his version.
So to the both of you, congrats on a great small duel!!
Sho for the winning, and mr.X for a job well done!

For the voters, thanks for making this duel more fun,
and remember we doing it for fun, so why don't take a month yourself...

It was great duel, I really enjoyed it. It was also though choice. Both entries are nicely painted but I voted for the winner because of better painted face ;)

It was the trousers that did it for me. I thought MrX's were too much like Bill and Ben's legs.

I liked Sho's entry better! And a little afterthought, didn't he sculpted these himself? He is both a great sculptor and a great painter and good member here! But it was his painting that did it for me! Huge grats! And Mr X will have new chances I think!

When I received this figure in the post, I have to admit to being a bit intimidated. It is really quite small. I also lack the expertise in the Napoleonic period that is now second-nature to many contributors here at Benno's Figure Forum. And my opponent, Sho, has dueled many times over the years, and has never lost once.

Still, I did my best. And I liked the way my figure turned out. Sho's was better--the lighter colored horse and the gold trim on the saddlery of his entry were both especially eye-catching.

Add in his clever mirror-image photograph, as well as quite a hilarious title, and my defeat was sealed. But I did not embarass myself. And I found a creative way to deal with critical comments that bothered me more than they probably should have. Remco was a big help in that department. After all, the duels are only for fun.
