Excellent work from both of you

David, I liked the idea using the peasants this way, and not in a military way

Cole very good painting, dark and bloody ;-)

Back to my habit voting on the loser. It was a very hard choice, but in the end it was the civilian use of the figures that got me over.

Thanks for your votes!
I really thought this time I would win! :P But that was before I see Cole's figures!
They are great! As I told him before, most of all I was amazed with the eyes of the soldiers!

Mine... I already had this scene in my mind and took the oportunity to do it. The wheat (I wanted to be wheat) crop was supposed to be up and only partially cut but I couldn't do it :(
The tree was made by me (see this: http://marshalat1dot72.blogspot.com/2011/12/natural-resources-first-results.html) and... Zvezda figures - I had to keep some for civilian duties, right? (and I guessed that that would give me some votes :joker: ) - but I'm starting to dislike this method of them of keeping the arms separated - it's harder to fit (for me) and still gives no options: arm 1 is for figure x, arm 2 is for figure y, etc.!

I still have a long way to walk until I get my painted figures on Cole's grenadiers (and many other members' works) level but I enjoyed a lot doing this (only the beginning of a small village)!

Congrats, Cole.

Thx guys. I was inspired by Victorious Secret to paint eyes and fingernails. I was fairly pleased with the result. ;-)

Here are a couple more pix:

On closer examination, I think I'm going to redo the pants...

The detail and character of the face painting (you even managed not to overdo the eyes) made me voting for that great work! Congratulations to both of you.

I liked the idea for using the peasants in a peaceful way.

Top-notch work from both players. It was a tough choice for me, but in the end the "eyes" have it.
