If there are not the right figures for your country, use your imagination and create your own unit in the colours of your country. ;-)

I'm out? Didn't Jan want to risk a fresh tomato?

It's not me it is Peter, He stopped at the coastline. Because he lives in Belgium he has no clogs like the guys from the Netherlands, in which they could swim over the sea to other countries. :-D

I must redeem myself for the last year  Will you accept some Austrian (Croatian) Grenzers?

I think I have 5 marching figures (will that be enough?)

Well, other poses of that set are combat poses :(

Peter wrote:Can't you paint them with a Croatian uniform? ;-)

I will because most of Grenzers were Croats. But Croatia was part of Austrian empire back then so set is named Austrian.

At the moment, it's six foot soldiers and an officer. :eh:
If I win a bucket full of extra time, I'll let you know.

But you can be for sure in one aspect: they'll gonna be colourful. Very colourful.

So today we are 11 members who have committed to paint figures:

Peter, Belgium
Gunnar, Sweden
Dirk, Germany (btw. which unit you are thinking of?)
Michael, Netherlands
Santi, Spain
Sascha, Germany
Paul, Great Britain
Dalibor, Croatia
Erik-Jan, Netherlands
Mai Strac, Italy
and me, Germany as well.

That is not to bad for the time this GB has been announced. But I hope there will be more members. I am still waiting for the GB Veterans from Amerika and our famous Italian in Togo Mr. Andrea (I am counting on you) And I want to see a Contubernium from Konrad and some marching Batavers from Mr. Cryns (Do not tell me you have to build ships... ;-) ) Just to put some names on the list. Always keep in mind that taking part is more important than painting a unit from your country. So Pieter, you can paint some marching ATLANTIC US Army, if this is your point of interest. Just to put another name on the list... :-D

There are very interesting units promised. Eric-Jan, I am really looking forward to see some more details and maybe you can share some informations. All of you can have a look on Mai Stracs Alpinis here: http://bennosfiguresforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=20081&view=unread#unread
And also Santis Spanish troops will be interesting to see. I am looking forward to know if they will be Napy or 20th century.

Finally the unit from Croatia is welcome. This is a country which units are rarely shown here. So the marching Landwehr will be interesting. I am really happy that you will have the time to take part. I am still thinking about your dystopic Road to Arnhem, Maybe I will bring this GB to the FIGZ once more. So there is still a chance to add this part.

So I am proud of you all. Keep up the good work and think about: Internationality first! Let's be friends and create something all together.

Above is the AIRFIX COLOUR PARTY from 1960. I thought to show it here because the Guards Band was placed first on Jan`s list. BB

Thanks Jan! :yeah: Another great idea! Count me in as well.
I'll get into a new period and go for Italian bersaglieri of the War of Independence http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=884
A bit of heads to twist, but biggest problem is the same: how to get them to Togo and back to Bonn

Wonderful to have you in with some figures I have not yet seen painted. Last year the transfer was pretty good organized and this year no base is necessary!
