Bennos Figures Forum Great Miniature Figures Parade 2017

Posted by MABO on 12 May 2017, 07:45

Hello folks!

this is the last call!

This weekend I will start the assembly of the Parade-Diorama! So please send me a message what is the status of your work and if I still can count you in. Some have already done, but it would be nice to have final messages. I would like to do my best to create something, which is fair for the wonderful entries already waiting here, but this will at least take some time.

On the brushes and let Fedex do the rest!!!!!!!!!!! 8)

In the end there have been 18 participants from 10 different nations. The final length is 4.40 meters. So a big "Thank you" for your great efforts to make this possible. And here you see the final presentation during this years FIGZ in Arnhem in the Netherlands:

I just spent about 45 minutes looking at these pictures. Splendid stuff! I am honored to have made a very small contribution to such a cool group build. MABO your backgrounds are beyond description.

Question: what are you going to do with it now?

Great to see! And I like very much that my Swedes are marching from Winter into Spring! :-) And I do have the same question as Bluefalchion. ..... nonono, I don't want my figures back! :-D Joking aside, maybe some better pics on those Medieval hunters?

So many wonderful figures, but what excellent terrain.

As I had said before, I had really no idea that fully developed terrain would be produced, and what a fantastic job.

MABO has done us all proud!

(Even Mrs Edwardian is impressed!)

Another beautiful creation from MABO! All our efforts come together perfectly marching in unison. We should all be very proud, but Jan most of all I think. :-D

My 17th Regiment are in a perfect setting, keeping up with Gunnar's boys.

Wow. I'm stunned - this is such a great pleasure to see. Such a shame I wasn't able to see it with my own eyes at the show, but I'm really glad and proud to have been a part of that project. Friends - you've done a great job there. Thanks to Mabo for presenting all that stuff in such a nice way. That's really great. :-)

My we never underestimate the power of nostalgia,
for it played its important part in the way each figure was duly presented here.
It might have been personally tough to gain painting motivation at times,
but gosh we see the Splendiferous end result here. Is it not thrilling?
Congratulations to everyone who took part, and above all a special thanks to Jan,
who put both figures and bases together. BB

Thanks a lot, folks. I am really happy, that you are satisfied with the result. It was a pleasure to build it. And to answer the question: It is stored now in the basement side by side with the Waterloo and Road to Arnhem Group Build. I hope maybe in Lingen I can present it again as well as in Arnhem again next year. Let's wait and see.

For the moment I am really happy that is was ready just in time. :sweatdrop: :camera:   :coffee:
