Hi guy's, al those reply's are realy inspiring. So i had just had to go on. Here's part 2.

(And the styro comes from the do-it-yourself store Praxis/Gamma etc)

And why did'nt i go to the Duzi last year

But back to business...

After making the backwall i started with the front and the 2 small walls at the side. Now i use al kinds of materials i have lying around so this time i took some foamboard from about 1 cm thick.

Image

Now both sides of this board are covered with thick paper. In order to make a wall i removed one side of the paper.

Image

it then looks a bit like this
Image

after removing the paper this was a small wall
Image

then i cut out the window
Image

and this is the front of the house
Image

ofcourse the windows/door need to have wooden frame (don't know the english words but i'll think you know what i mean)

This is a piece of wood from a small box
Image

i cut it in smaller strips
Image

then in the right size
Image

now the wood has to look "old"so i chip small pieces of it with a sharp knife. See the difference
Image

then i put it together. as you can see it's not realy straight but that i just how i want it.
Image

then i use the ballpoint again to drow the stonepattern
Image

the big section looks like this
Image

here are al the walls
Image
Image

Now its time to paint. I use just some cheap wallpaint and after the basecoat just drybrush one or twice.
Image

it then looks like this
Image

looks cosey eh
Image

so this is it for now i hope to continue this weeken....

later guys (and sorry about the not so sharp pictures  thats what you get when working in the smaller hours

Hi Guys,

First to answer some questions, i bought the grey plates (the backwall) at the "karwei" about 2 years ago. I figured they got them everywhere but i gues i figured wrong..... the are more difficult to get then i thought. But the Raab Kärcher (thx Martin  ) seems to be a very good option. (And i've only got one plate left so i have to start looking soon.......)

The black plates are called foamboard. This is a completely different material consisting of 2 cardboard sides with a polystyreen (?) core. I got these plates from a friend of mine but i think you can buy them at shops where they sell art-materials like Artivac in the Hague.

Now back to the project. This time just a small update.

For the roof i use simple cardboard

Image

I cut it in the right size and then roll it up to get it bended.
Image

Not to much scientific work here, i just see if it fits and if not cut it to the right size

Image

it then looks something like this
Image

after cutting al parts its time to glue the lot together. I always use pins to keep al in place

Image

and finally it looks like this.

Next step is finishing the roof wich i hope to do coming wednesday.
