Painting faces

Posted by Nono on 21 Jan 2010, 16:29

Hello at all ,
Here's a tutorial of how I paint faces on my figures

after having cleaned and spray painted the figure
Image

I mix my paint for my basic
bronzed flesh 60% +british uniform 20%+ scab red 15 %

I painted this very diluted mixture (do not domage the sculpting)on the face and hands (three or four layer)

shadows 1
scab red 25%+Britich uniform 35%+basic

shadows 2
I added a touch of midnight blue and scab red

Light zone
basic+bronzed flesh

Light zone 2
bronzed flesh+helf flech

After, can be added a touch of wihte in the final mixt , but each person has to find its sensitivity .
I hope to be clear in my bad English :?

Great tutorial! Can you tell us how much you thin your paints and what you thin them with?

Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for posting.

It's a LOT better than my technique (which is getting pretty backdated).

I thin the paint with : water by feeling

I bought a stock minight blue paint before it disappears. But you can also use: the regal blue with a touch of black.

Excellent tutorial. Text is largely sufficient because the pictures tell us so much more.

Un grand merci d'un admirateur

Thanks a lot - useful tutorial.

It's always interesting to see how-people-do-it, even if one uses different methods.

congrats once again for your works
