The old Esci figures are too rare & difficult to get to justify messing with them.

@Ochoin not quite...I found so far that same set 4 times, and it can be found in quite of quantity... I will deploy my friends around the globe to get me some...

Using my Soldering Iron,the fumes set off the sensitive Fire Alarms in the house.
( Oh! My aching eardrums when they all go off.)
So if i remember i turn them off.

Breathing in the fumes from plastic ain`t good for you,so open a window for ventilation.



From my Topic Strange Conversions: These were made up using a heated knife,but not by me.

In my modelling work of late I`ve been fixing my Rubber Tank Tracks into the required circle with my soldering iron.
That is the best way of doing that job.BB

I have tried this method long time ago. I also used it to solder the Airfix horses to the bases (US cavalry and Arabs) with some but not total success. If the soldering iron is too hot it is a risky process. In the end I quitted and resorted to glue, even if it means that I have to get the tube every time there is a battle on my tabletop.

Airfix figures can be pretty good. Airfix horses are good to use as dead horses. Harsh but true.
