Congratulations on your fine victory. A 'refreshing' composition telling a nice story.
Admirable conception and delighted to see a Napoleonic entry finally win the day.
Just out of curiosity which manufacturer makes the lovely young girl?
To my mind she was the decisive factor......methinks we all fell in love with her. :love2: :love1:
She certainly was impeccably painted!!! ;-)
My only consideration was that maybe the barrel, bucket and groundwork were a little too clean for my liking - little dirt and grime would have added a touch more realism. Also felt sorry for the beautiful little tootsies of the girl having to walk barefoot on those sharp little stones. Ah ....the things we do for love

Well done to both you and Roland for a pair of beautifully painted entries. I just loved the cream colour of the horse, most excellent.

I stand for DollPlayer to say Thank you all.
Since Dollplayer is on business trip and he doesn't take his notebook with him.
He will be very glad to answer all the questions in few days.

By the way, I'm Dollplayer's wife Mary. ;-)

Great entry and a worthy winner!! That said though a big  to all of the entries. It's amazing to see how much the overall quality of the painting competitions has gone up :-D

I also think that the painting competition itself has been very good for our hobby and very good for this forum. I always look forward to seeing the entries for each new competition. One of these days I'll have to enter one again though ......

This guy and his bare-footed girlfriend defeated a whole German Panzergrenadier-unit so easily. ;-)

My congratulations for a fine, colorful and original work! (the landscape / building and the barrels were a bit too clean for my taste). But nevertheless.....

...BRAVO!!!
