We'll start this with a really useful release with a load of handy shapes for making roads and rivers!  These are available in a huge variety of shapes and sizes, with straights, curves, junctions and more in widths from 20mm up to 75mm.

Despite these being simple MDF shapes, the possibilities are almost endless.  A quick coat of grey and some white lines gives you a road, a coat of brown and some static grass gives a country lane, and painting them blue/green/brown makes for an easy river (depending on your view of water colours...)  You could even paint both sides and flip them over depending on what you need for each game.



And the best bit is the value for money.  These are priced very competitively so you could build a full 6ft river or road for less than £5 if you wanted!

One for the bigger scales next, with a mining set now available comprising of brick engine house and winding gear, for both 20mm and 28mm scales.

These setups would have been found across Britain in the 19th and early 20th centuries, with the house containing a steam engine for either hoisting the mined materials to the surface, or pumping water out from the mine below.

They're probably not the most in-demand wargaming item but they'll make a nice addition to any 'What if?' type games like A Very British Civil War.

We've got a new addition to the Battlescale 6mm ranges this week, with a Harbour Masters House now available.  Steve made this model as a tribute to a friend who sadly passed away:

"Well, I was planning for my first new piece of the year to be in 10mm. However, since hearing the really sad news about the passing of my friend Ian, I felt I had to create something as a small tribute to a lovely man.

Ian was a ‘salty sea dog’ in a previous life and spent many years in the Royal Navy. His affinity with the sea stayed with him it seems throughout his life. He often spoke of his time at sea and made several videos regarding the ever eroding coastline in his part of the country.

As a wargamer, like many of us, he was somewhat of a butterfly, skipping from one era, one scale, to the other. His first passion was ACW in 6mm and he always seemed to find his way back to it in one form or another. Having thought about all this I decided to make a harbour masters house in 6mm."

We've got another 28mm MDF release for you next with a set of 3 buildings from the Falklands Islands.  The main building is Top Malo House, the site of a skirmish between British Marines and Argentine Commandos in May 1982.  The other two are based on other small buildings in the same area.

Despite the above, they're still fairly generic and should be OK for multiple other regions of the world too.

Vallejo have been updating some of their Model Color paints recently and we've just got our stocks of the new colours. These are all priced at £2.75 and they also qualify for our '5 for £13' offer on all of the Model Color and Game Color paints.

We've also decided to stop stocking the Panzer Aces paints, as the most popular colours in this range have now been duplicated in the new Model Colors. We also don't have space on the display rack to take them to shows, so it's better to sell off the remaining stock and focus on the main ranges.

We've got a couple of handy releases for you next, just for FSN!  We've always been able to supply extra draught horses as a custom order but we've now put them into their own mould/code so that you can grab as many as you need.

The Type 1 horses are in a lighter tack/harnessing, while the Type 2 have got a heavier collar and a blanket roll as well.
