Oooh, it's much nicer on the after-picture! Good thing. It wouldn't be as nice if it was the other way round.

Hi there mates,

After a huge time away from the workbench, due to the lack of time/motivation  I finally got time to sort my things out, and my wife found a great bargain 25€ for this new piece of furniture that she gave me for our 13th anniversary. :-D

But all good thing comes with a catch :-D it does not match the other one on its side, so in the Spring of 2015 I will have to fix that, some sanding and some stain/varnish so she will be more happy.

And so finally I can work, leave stuffs on the workbench and no worries on my cats play around with the pieces.

So this is the enclosed version.

Image

A couple of shelves for the display.

Image

Here are the shelves with paints, airbrush stuff, consumables for the modeler, although the 2 drawers have loads of figures and decals, I added the note board so i can keep stuff there like instructions of assembly.

Image

Here is the stash, all 4 boxes packed with helicopters :winky: and my lamp for when i paint in the living room, I mean watch TV with wife.

Image

Here is the workbench, i added the light fixture above so i can have a bit more light.

Image

And here is the current project, well at least one of them then.

Image

So i expect this to increase my outcome, now its a question of paint paint paint!!!!

I hope your new organised space of creativity works out for you armpcm.
I don`t have a hobby room as such for working in,I have the entire house converted into a Toy Shop. All that's needed now is a little bell placed a top the door for that little finished touch of old fashioned tinkling fun. BB

Any of you guys have a paint rack?

I was thinking such an object would help me keep things tidy.

This is plan A

I `ve ordered some round ice cube makers very cheap and of use for my meager needs which is to organize my acrylic paint`s and to stop them from irritatingly falling over. I might need to convert them, slightly.

Bought on E Bay for £1.89 & Free Post in UK

This is plan B

Image

A Lipstick Organizer style paint rack made slightly larger should be easy to make if plan A ,the ice cube thing`y does not work. BB

The only paint racks I can find are the expensive warhammer ones:

Are there other options?

You can try those... http://www.hobbyzone.pl/en/7-workshop-organizers-
I don't know about shipping costs but prices seem fair enough.

My man cave

Peter asked me to post these pictures here as I posted them in another part of the forum in reply to another members request for pictures of my work space.

Cheers

I really enjoy these pictures. I can't stop watching them!

Actually I was searching for your stash of figures, but I found it. I will not tell so the others can look for theirselfe. ;-) :-D

THE GRANDMASTERS BINOCULARS

Very early in this topic (2008) that is dominated by furniture that is too ugly to deserve a place in our livingrooms and piles of plastic figures that will never be painted because our lives are too short, I found some remarkable pictures from Alex' home studio:

http://mobile.bennosfiguresforum.com/se ... sf=msgonly

Image

Besides a romantic medieval ferry tale castle and furniture that would fit my living room pretty well, what caught my eye were those binoculars. Apparently not to see far away like the rest of us would try to do... but to see nearby. :eh: Extremely nearby.

Alex, even with the strongest glasses I can not see the faces of my figures well.
From everybody I know, you make the best faces. Is this how you achieve that? With these microscopic glasses?
