I was wondering if you esteemed gentlemen have any of the Kennington 20mm Napoleonics? I am thinking of ordering some up from SHQ in the UK, but as it is across the pond and the dollar is weak I thought I’d ask about the quality of sculpts and compatibility with 1/72 plastics before I took the plunge…

Maybe you have seen the post 'Eagles' in the Miniatures subforum. Kennington figures are very beautiful but somewhat small when compared with "normal" plastics (such HAT) and they seem like dwarves when side to side with the last Italeri giants!....
I use Kenninton in command bases because I like their officers, drummers, porte-aigles, standardabearers..... My own solution to the size problem is to mount them over an additional 2mm thick cardboard base. I am a wargamer so, according to the 3 feet (one meter) rule, when you see the figures from above at that distance, the differences in scale become almost negligible. :-D

Dear Eric,

I agree with Rafa:

the figures are small for combinations with the HÄT 1812 French or
the new Italeriefigures.
But you can mixed the figures with HÄT French Fusiliers or Young Guard.
I have a lot Brunswickers, Nassauers and French Light Infantry from
Kennington. And you can use the Commandsets (nice Drummers)...

Im quite fond of Kennington, I dont worry about different size troops, I just keep the same manufacturer within each unit, since with different poses and different hats they all look different height anyhow.

It's a long time since we heard from Rafa, but he said goodbye in good manner. I think he moved to bigger scales which wasn't allowed at the time. If so he is very welcome back! Captain Blicero wasn't that active so I don't remember him. Thomas Mischak is still here though. Remember a duel I had with Deon and he made a dio with an archeological digging. Very nice! He won.
