Koppi, fascinating stuff.

The fort looks almost functional despite it’s age.

The ingenuity let alone cost is truly staggering.

It is a pity that the effort involved was directed towards the destruction of others.

The Maginot line was a magnificent bit of engineering sure to stop invading armies, unless the attackers just went around it. Had that money been spent in R&D and producing tanks and planes 1940 may have been a very different year.
