That looks really good, so much more effective than the regular painted cotton wool ones. Looks like there's red and yellow LEDs in there.

I recall Fred G was doing something similar.

The advertising pictures of this product make it look very good indeed.

The ‘ blast’ is representative of a napalm strike and the fibre optics are a clever touch.

For a more conventional munition explosion the debris and combustion would normally be more vertical than horizontal.

Pre smokeless powder explosions are very reminiscent of the ‘ banger’ fireworks as they are essentially the same principle and constituents.

For a more modern bang I use fine lengths of plastic sprue in a triangular clump with heated teased cotton wool sprinkled with debris.
