I thought I needed islands, to put in the Nile for my Mahdist War games.

Made from MD foam, these are the first two:

The cliffs look good. Tricky submerged reefs though.

I planned to do the same; only I need hills for my war games. I've been told the foam it's pretty sticky and may create huge mess if not used in proper environment. I guess you haven't done it on the kitchen counter (at my place, that would be sort of sadism). Have you used rubber gloves? On what surface have you sprayed the foam? Thanks

No, it's not sticky at all and easy to work with .
Medium density board is designed to be carved. It's not the white polystyrene stuff .

There are shavings (of course) and dust (wear a mask when sanding) so *not* in the kitchen. I have a shed to work in.

Thanks, Donald. Now I got it. My mistake: I thought of the expanding foam.
