Local Shop also for Miniatures

Posted by Tom71 on 12 Jun 2017, 22:19

It was a coincidence: A few months ago I found in my town (Wuppertal/Germany) a local shop (owner Reinhard Klein) also for miniatures, modelling-items and more. After I got into the shop, I've got big eyes and I couldn't close my mouth. On the follwing picture (it was taken for a newspaper-article in 2015) you can see nearly the 25% from the complete shop.

Italeri figures (1/72) for 5,50 € or ESCI figures for 6,00 € original-packed? Thats true! And whether! Depending on when the sets were released, the prices were designed accordingly. Old sets = Old (cheap) prices. New Sets = New prices! Articles which are not in stock, the owner (Reinhard Klein) can be orderd them. The local modelshop was founded in 1948 makes every model builder's heart beat faster.

The most of the current manufacturers (except for Strelets and Zvezda) can be found.

Every corner, however small, has real treasures and should you be looking for military vehicles in scale HO of the company Rocco - small tip: take time to contact Mr. Klein ;-)

In addition to the figures, there are very many model building and railway articles as well as accessories on site. Also HO-Cars and figures.

But you should go past, then pay attention to the opening hours:
Mon., Tues. and Thurs.: 16:45 to 18:30
Closed on Wednesdays
Friday: 15:00 to 18:30
Saturday: 10:00 to 13:00

Congratulation to your a find.
Something like that is rare these days.
Where I live we lost a lot of hobby shops in the past approx.15 years. Big as small ones! For several reasons.
That your find survived in the time of internet and big dealers is very nice.

But that is because people buy things from him, and then he needs free space to place the restocks! :-D
