Posted by Koppi on 09 Sep 2016, 23:09

Today I will show you pictures of the museum of the Franco-Prussian war in Gravelotte, a small village near the french city of Metz, and one of the most famous battlefields of the FPW.
The text is in german, but with an introduction and explanation in english AND in french.
Thanks to my daughter.
Have fun with the report and the pictures.

Nice review !
I went to Gravelotte at spring this year and I was also pleased !
There are some flaws but muchmore good things !
The fact that it's not only a museum on the fpw but also on the annexion period is a plus for me !

What a fantastic museum! So many wonderful uniforms and artworks on display, - and that cuirass with the bullet holes - horrifying...

Thank you for sharing this post. :yeah:
