For some strange reason we've listened to the same bands as young, but I a little earlier. TST I saw very early on. It was their second concert, the first they played by themselves (the first one was playback to KISS-songs). :-D

I can also see the youtube-links. Strange! And no competition-pics in the UK. But I can see them too.

Actually this song may be too upbeat for Pearl Harbor. Maybe I should listen to Blue Hawaii.

I used to whistle Gary Owen while playing with my Airfix and Atlantic cavalry and Indians and re-enacting Custer's Last Stand over and over (and the cavalry didn't always lose!).

Since I have a sick missus to take care of I missed this concert. But if I had been able to go I would have been there. This was my favourite track with them when I was a teenager.

Does anybody know what happens to love
When hate turns into war
Does anybody know what happens to love
When it can't be found at all
Can somebody tell me
How the world could be so blind
Does anybody know what happens to love
When love runs out of time

Hello,

This is the famous story of Fred, the budget chicken. A fowl Accountant extraordinaire. A heroic chicken of extra crispy proportions. Settle back and give a listen.

Sounds like 1964. Or something thereabout. Think Mike Vickers was the guitar-player in Manfred Mann (not The Earth Band, but the same guy).

My inspiration.....music. Maybe Toy Soldiers only compete with music for my passion. The difference is the new technology allowing us to do our own things instead of relying on "the man" (manufacturers and record companies). In Toy Soldiers I hoped 3D printing would take off and allow us to make our own stuff, things not commercially viable for the manufacturers to consider (like Powhattans and Jamestown settlers). But we aren't there yet.

However, in music there are more and more apps that let you do interesting things. Look what I did with this acapella app:

A little tribute to Lemmy, who passed away today at the age of 70.

2015, a tough year for Motörhead fans. After the (not first, but) "original" drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor died in November already, today we lost the even more iconic singer & bassist Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister. :(

He was Rock N Roll.

A song, from their later period, about another (somewhat similar in conciseness & attitude) band which I love just as much:

Thanx & RIP Lemmy
