They are very appealing figures, well painted.
What are your long term plans for this project?
Do they match the HaT sets?

I look forward to seeing future examples of your work on this fascinating era.

The original figures look great, but your paintjob on them is superb, Stephane. Great work!

Does this mean that you have converted it from the others? If so, it's an amazing conversion.

Thank you for your comments. ;-)
to Ochoin,
I have about thirty figurines to paint and the placement in a setting that I have to do but first of all think about how to organize all of this... It will take me 2 to 3 months.
to Santi Pérez,
I haven't made any major conversions yet. I just changed one arm...I normally have enough positions like that.
I'm going to paint the musicians...
The Sumerians didn't have many colors in their clothing, but they did have some.
To be continued...

Here come the wagons. The wheels are full. They are pulled by Kungas. I put the reins on for more reality.

You can be sure I appreciate it, Stephane. These chariots are as spectacular as their infantry counterparts.

I assume the chariots pulled by two onagers are light and the one with four is heavy, right? ;-)

Very nice work. I particularly like your efforts in painting the onagers. I'm assuming those colours are the realistic colour of their hide? It looks great.

Thank you, Ochoin.
Yes, the Mesopotamians of the Uruk and Archaic periods knew of an equine animal, the kunga, to which they attached great monetary value, its price being up to six times that of a donkey. A recent genetic study has shown that the kunga was a hybrid of a male hemione and a domestic female donkey. The hemione measures between 1.2 m and 1.40 m at the withers and weighs 300 to 350 kg. Its coat is light beige, its legs are unstriped, it has a black stripe along the spine, and its belly and the tip of its nose are white, like the African Wild Ass. ;-)

@ stephane

I loved your reply. For me, too, the hobby isn't just painting "toys" but the research necessary to do things accurately.

I'm assuming the beast in question must have had qualities in perhaps strength or docility that made it the preferred choice?

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I love researching and adhering to knowledge.
It must have had qualities like the donkey, the horse, and the mule.
Best regards
Stéphane

That's it, the figurines are painted and the scenery is done. I'm posting one last photo in this post to put the rest in the gallery.
