P IV Möbelwagen Scratch

As already announced, here is the scratchbuilt Flakpanzer IV Möbelwagen. The chassis is from Revell PIV J, the Flak43 is also from Revell. It is taken from the P III Ostwind. Now that the construction of the originally planned 2cm Flakvierling is finished, it's time to model the Möbelwagen.
I have assembled the chassis of the PIV until the changes appear. Then I sawed off the armored superstructure. Only the engine part remained. At first the mounting holes for the skirt holders in the chain plates still had to be filled.








I have now made the driver's and radio operator's sections. Then I built the lower side panels.
The next step was the attachments for the track link, on the front of the steering brakes.
Including the support for the upper side wall when it is completely folded down.

After pulling in the fighting compartment floor, I detailed it further.

You'd almost think the WW2 German army created this plethora of various vehicles to provide a challenge for modellers.

This is an interesting project & I look forward to future posts.

Hello, dear model making friends. Here's a little update on the furniture van.

Here iare pictures of the finished gun base. All parts are scratchbuilt from plastic scraps.



I have marked the place where the base should go. I will assemble the flak in single parts and then glue them into the model.



Here I have detailed the front panel. Holder for the towing cable, support for the front dropside and the attachment of the reserve chain. The towing hooks have been drilled out and fitted with a bolt.

Here are the made side panels with attachments and the self-made reserve barrel of the anti-aircraft gun. The barrel is made in 2 parts. All turned with the mini drill and profiles.


The first side panels are glued. This gives me even better access for painting the interior.



In this picture you can also see the guides for the radio antenna.
So that's all the news from the furniture van.
