Today I would like to present my new project. It is the 2cm Flakvierling from Esci.
A real club of a model. There is almost nothing wrong with it or too big.
We even paid money for it. What the heck, snow of Yesterday.

I cannibalised the anti-aircraft gun for the time being, leaving the basic body and the weapons
without barrels. Then I looked for prototypes and measurements on the net.
Then I started to make parts and exchange them for the original parts.
There are the base plates, tubes and muzzle brakes, elevated weapon armour and some other things.

My goal: To build as much as possible myself and even have the part moveable in the end.
Yes, there are better parts such as the 2cm from Mako. But get them first. I also have the ambition to build it myself.

The first thing I did was to drill the inside of the guns to connect the two parts synchronously. Then I added the case catcher. Everything will be made from leftover plastic or Evergreen
profiles. Then there is the forend and another part whose purpose I have not yet found.
Here is the first attempt to use the tubes from Esci. Completely useless, because it is at least
a 7.5cm quadruplet. So I looked for a replacement and came across 0.9 mm syringe needles. After fitting the new tubes, however, they still seemed too thick.
3rd attempt with 0.7mm needles, I like that very much. The muzzle brakes are made from
1.2mm Evergreen profile turned with a Dremel.

Here I have built the height and side straightener. The corresponding handwheels will be added.

That's it for now.
