Winter Experiments

Posted by MABO on 04 Dec 2022, 13:33

As the anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes is approaching, I did some experiments with small snow vignettes. Like many of us, I still have Matchbox sets in a box from the past. I took two of them and also a Panther I built (badly) about 35 years ago and experimented with it.

I am still looking for an acceptable result to match the mood of a snowy landscape. This time I worked with AK Terrains products.

Have a look and I'm definitely grateful for tips. ;-)

That snowed in Panther looks like it has been transported from 1944.

Jac Wellers Battle of the a bulge book is full of such scenes.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hello Jan
the models look very realistic.
This seems indeeed to be a good alternative for imitating snow.

It looks like you've done a really nice job with it. I've started using the AK interactive mud products and think they are better than other makes I've tried.
