Here is the Lagash phalanx, with the shield's wall protecting the rear ranks. At the end I went with blue shields, the last decision was by my wife, how can go against her ?

First of all my apologies for such a long period without posting ..... I had a summer full of activities, just now I'm back to painting

Here are the Umma's skirmishers, it's time now to work on the centre of the diorama, the Umma's war chariot with its donkeys... but they are modelled by Hat as "simple" horses, so some modification is needed !

I have now completed the war chariot (except the connection between the donkeys and the bar, it will be made on the diorama to fit the ground irregularity).

The work was mainly to pass from Hat's horses to donkeys and to add the reins.
I really wonder how the drivers were capable to control the reins of four different animals while running on broken ground

Now all the figures are painted, let's move to the cork base
