Fantasy Empire army for Orctober

Posted by PhilC on 29 Oct 2020, 19:17

Hello! Only two days left, I have to paint faster to finish in time. So the second fire wizard is painted, and the element of mercenary Arquebusiers is complete. Let's have a look:

Image

The second wizard is not as nice as the first one. The pose is less dynamic, and the flames over his head should be done again, but no time this time.

Image

The mercenaries don't have a uniform, but they have a common color scheme: green / red / white, and some black.

You can see them below together with the Talabecland arquebusiers.

Next steps: the second element of knights (3 armored riders) and the command element.

Thank you very much for your comment, Wiking!

And now, gentlemen, my last figures for the Empire army: the general and the knights!

Let's start with the general:
Image

This guy represents the Duke of Talabecland, on a heavy horse and wearing a black enameled armour.
On the command element, he comes with a foot officer and a standard bearer:

I also painted an element of knights, using wonderful Renaissance knights by Dark Dream Studio:

The details in the sculpting are really good:

With these last two elements, my Empire army is complete, the challenge is won, one day ahead of schedules! :yeah:

That's all, folks.

Oh maybe some pictures of the full army, standing and in battle against those horrible green things called Orcs ? Yes maybe. Not today

More pictures, etc... and a project overview here: https://philotepsfigures.blogspot.com/2020/10/orctober-challenge-episode-7-army.html

Nice job. The DDS knights are vastly under-rated, really useful figures.

Currently working on it. Pictures are taken, I just need to write the blog post, then the topic in this forum - it should be done within a few hours :)

I agree with Konrad. All the figures are fantastic, but the knights are really impressive, PhilC.
