Zulu W-i-P

I'm hoping to finish one last Zulu unit - Unmarried warriors - before Sunday's games.

The HaT figures paint up quite well & after a bit of washing (paint not spears) & highlighting & basing, they'll look OK.

Very nice Donald. You are one busy fellow. I am glad I am not the only guy that bounces from one project to the next!

I've run out of SYW figures to paint!

And my pals are coming over for two games on Sunday; long planned.

The first is Hlobane ; the glorified cattle raid against the abaQulusi that ran into an impi. It will be about escaping, hopefully with some cattle.

The second is based on Dartnell's recce before Islandlwana. If Dartnell had of brushed past the screening Zulus, he'd have seen their main army off to take the camp. This would have alerted Chelmsford who may have returned in time.

So the Imperials will all be mounted & without a red-coated infantryman in sight. Something different.

Good Lord Donald you are a man after my own heart! I have several boxes of FLH in my stand by painting que for my Hlobane game which I have been planning for years. My current zulu forces that I am working on are geared for a "what if" battle had Chelmsford forces been attacked by the main zulu impi as he went to Dartnels aid. Currently I have bounced over to my Crimean war stuff. There is a good chance the Crimean stuff may see the table by years end.

Paul, you would clearly be a valued & respected member of our little gaming group.......if you didn't live
15 000 k.s away.

At any rate, when you're next passing.
