Walls

My walls & gatehouse from Anyscale arrived today:

A fairly expensive purchase, it represents low-level Scottish fortifications from the Middle Ages.

I aim to use it for anything from Ancient warfare to the modern era. Once painted, it should make its first appearance as the walls of Reichenberg in a SYW game I plan for November.

Why aren't these walls painted yet? Don't tell me you have other things to do! :eh: :-D

Hey! I may not be a good painter but I'm a prolific one!!

A bit more seriously, I'm trying to decide whether:

1. glue the pieces on a base board for a permanent walled town
2.glue the pieces on narrow strips of mdf to make them more stable
3. don't glue them at all for storage benefits & flexibility in use.

I glued mine to "thin" bases to help stability and to provide some protection in storage

I kept them so I could have the maximum flexibility in use

But they are simple constructs in foamcore, so I could build them the sizes I wanted.Image

Nice looking product.

Regarding stability, you could drill a couple small holes in the ends of each segment and super glue some strong magnets in.

Donald if I was you I would steel Will's idea. Keeping them seperate and on a small base. And of course I was teasing you. Take your time! ;-)
