Assyriens !

Posted by stephane42 on 01 Apr 2020, 11:37

Hello, Here are the first painted figurines for the Assyrians created by Germania figuren. I replaced the spears which were fragile but otherwise, super pleasant to paint, good relief and very detailed.

Thanks for showing us. How did they take the paint? What paints and primer did you use?

Thank you for your comment.
I replaced the handles of the spears because they were fragile. I had a little breakage due to the trip but nothing serious, everything is already glued. Otherwise the plastic seems rigid enough to me. I use them to make dioramas and not to play.
I use prince august and citadel paint :)

Hi Stephane,
nice to see them painted . My Question , would you propose to make them with hole inthe Hand and separate spear , so everybody could deside to use the printed resin spears or pewter ones ?

More Assyrian troops in the next weeks

Now that is some nice painting! Love the skin tones especially, you got that Middle Eastern Semitic skin coloration perfect. Great looking figgies.

Superb figurines in preparation, enough to feed a diorama in a lively way by the multiplication of poses. Great work !!
I am very impatient for the future !!

They look great!

Just a few days ago I listened to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History episode about Assyrians and fall of Nineveh, might be interesting for you.
