Prosit!

A fascinating tale of a regular soldier who excelled in his profession.

Reminds me of a certain sergeant Steiner from ‘ Cross of Iron’.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hi , friends.

Continuing the tribute work.

On the East Front.

Michael Wittmann :
- SS.
- Winter cold.
- Formality.
- War advertising highlight.

Image

Kurt Knispel:
- Wehrmacht.
- Summer heat.
- Informality.
- Anonymity, joy and strong bonds of camaraderie.

Since drinking alone is bad, I am now asking Kurt Knispel's friends to celebrate with him. The figure with the mug is his great friend Hans Fendsack who fell in Normandy.
As Knispel was short, his figure is the smallest.

Truly amazing work and it;s looks to be at HO scale. I don't drink but I will tip my coffee cup to this warrior from days past. I'm so glad modelers can look beyond politics to give tribute to warriors from all ages and nations. They aren't who starts wars they're just the ones who end up fighting them. They have torn down many of the US greatest statues of confederate soldiers and it kills me to see the disrespect.
