Arab village under construction

Posted by dykio on 26 Mar 2020, 12:34

thanks guys, !!

@Susofrick, these wil be used as game pieces. So not the very beatiful figures from nicolai but probably there cousins from italri/airfix/revell etc....

@Mabo, i tried to make these buildings as generic
(i hope that is the right word) as possible so they have multiple use. But they sure will be used by the ffl. i think i will be finishing them somewere this week so next week i hope to make some fotots of the whole "village".

for now just a couple of pictures of the finished well/statue

hi Guys,,

thanks for al the kind comments !!. i have been quite busy and am glad to say that the (mini) village is finished !

i did put some "tents " on the houses and also finished a complete forest of palmtrees...

Image

these are just cheap plastic trees but much to my surprise the paint realy sticks firm on them !. I made mdf bases and stuck them to it after spraing a grey primer base coat on the trees.
Then i painted them, gave them a wash / highlight and finished the bases with sand. And i must say they turned out better then i suspected.
