It's really Beethoven's Opus 91 which includes For He's A Jolly Good Fellow :-D

This video is well put together. However, the title Wellington's Victory doesn't refer to Waterloo, it was written by Ludwig to celebrate Vitoria.

The annoying thing is I look at the horses and note that not one of them has a solid color, be it a light or a dark grey, they all have a variation through the coat. Then I take photos and they all turn white
Ah well! I can look at the figures and not the photos :-D

The situation so far.

There will now be a short intermission while I grow a bit of grass.

Lighting in photography is a real pain and the camera is merciless whenever it can be.

You have been working very hard here and the painting is excellent.

I personally do not like this set with its carbine crackshots etc but you have really brought them to life and en masse they are lovely.

Best wishes,

Chris

I agree Mr Chris.

Both the sets, Esci and Italeri have problems. Horses too small, many of these would suit Hussars. No red blanket at the front of the saddle and troopers far too small. Some troopers are midgets (Italeri) and the regulation was 5'11" to 6'1". Big men on big horses.

I much prefer the figures from Call to Arms but they only do them in 1/32 so we have to do with what is provided. At least the use en masse masks some of the imperfections. Never mind the quality look at the number.

I keep on looking at this with a child eye. I don't care about historical imperfections in the figures. I stare in amazement and dream of battles. Massive! Kudos, Fred

I had a delightful ( wet) week north of the border so all I've managed so far is to prepare the ground.

The Circus rejected them?

Much better to see your progress, how small it is.

I've flocked the bases and I'm happy with the result of that so I've decided just to finish as is.

The result will be posted in the gallery.

Now for Eylau :-D
