New project pictures …

„The Emergency Solution“

A little bit of tank history:

Between August 1943 and September 1944, 2329 SU-85 tank destroyers were produced. The planned follow-up tank was the SU-100. He was an evolution of the SU-85. This tank had a modified chassis and a 75 mm thick frontal armor.

For the SU-100 the cannon D-10S L/56 was planned. However, in July 1944 there were still problems with the new ammunition typ BR-412. The new produced SU-100 tanks were inevitably armed with the old cannon D-5S L/52. This tank type was called SU-85M.

By December 1944 315 pieces were produced by the SU-85M tank destroyer. After that, the SU-100 tank was equipped as planned with the D-10S L/56 cannon.

Next steps:

As you can see, there is still a lot missing. Scratches, scuffs, rust, leaking oil, dust, mud and and and .... last not least a handful of figures and a fitting diorama. ;-) Let's see, what's coming ...

Have fun. :-D

Do not you know the alien tanks? Now I'm surprised! The tanks float every 10 cm above the ground. And that for decades undetected by the mass of humanity! ;-)

In the current wonderful weather we have to open all the hatches and let in some fresh air. :-D
