So be it! Line chasseurs à cheval first, so that together with the dragoons and cuirassiers I have already painted, they will laugh out loud looking at your dragoons' overriding attempt

Here we go with the horse chasseurs. Decided to go for the 9ème Régiment de Chasseurs à Cheval: I really like that green-pink uniform http://centjours.mont-saint-jean.com/uniformes_uniteFR.php?uniformes=93&drapeau=

Let me know where you get the Vivandiere from. I have a resin one with a nice cart but she doesn't have much of a face

I am excited to see how the horses turn out. Do you always prime in black and then brush on the base coat? Or is there a step or three in between that we are not seeing?

With horses I always prime in black and follow with two layers of dry brush, the second lighter in tone. Than I do highlights. Finally saddle and harness. What you see in the picture is the first layer of dry brush (not that dry though).

Not planning to have a vivandiere. They have not much role in wargaming. In case, here is where I would get a couple http://www.hagen-miniatures.de/index.php/en/component/jshopping/product/view/136/1449 and http://www.hagen-miniatures.de/index.php/en/component/jshopping/product/view/136/1738. Maybe together with this one http://www.hagen-miniatures.de/index.php/en/component/jshopping/product/view/136/1641. And if you like a bit of promiscuity http://www.hagen-miniatures.de/index.php/en/component/jshopping/product/view/136/2375

Did I ever mention that I taught MrsG how to handle a sharp blade to best effect? :eh:

Did someone say Nappy cavalry? :eh:

After your masterful French infantry, I'm really looking forward to seeing these Chasseurs. :-D

Some times British humour is pretty cryptic. Do they look like zombie horses?
