Grande Armée / Armée du Nord

Posted by Mr. Andrea on 25 Jan 2019, 12:57

This is a counterattack to Jan's growing Prussian army of the Lower Rhine and also a reaction to FredG request of more WIP. Thanks to both for revitalizing my nappy passion and bring me back to my French army. I have a pile of boxes on my desk waiting for the brush.

Let's start with increasing the ranks of the line infantry.

Priming is done. Let's how long I am going to take to get them finished.

Looking forward to seeing them completed! I am a big fan of this set. I am able to look past the size and no chins . Something about the design of this set is easy to paint for me at least.

Where will your army of the nord arrive? Just in time or delayed?
I am quite curious what you will do with these figures which I personally not like: too big heads and too short legs.

Very nice indeed.

The Italieri French are a bit bit, chinless, but still look good en masse.

However should the drummers not be in Imperial livery?

Best wishes

Made a test yesterday. They will look like this, just no so shiny. I will spray anti-shine to get rid of that glossy and protect them from my greasy fingertips.

So be it! Line chasseurs à cheval first, so that together with the dragoons and cuirassiers I have already painted, they will laugh out loud looking at your dragoons' overriding attempt

Line Chasseurs a cheval!!! Another favorite set of mine. Different sculpting and size style, but with your brush skills they will compliment each other very well!!
