After long time a small update on this project. These are men from the 2. and 3. Batallion of the 29. Line Infantry Regiment. This regiment, created on March 4, 1815, is build form the 2nd Berg Infantry Regiment and the Bataillon de Grenadiers de Berg. Berg was a state—originally a county, later a duchy—in the Rhineland of Germany. Its capital was Düsseldorf. It existed as a distinct political entity from the early 12th to the 19th centuries.

So you know the Prussian 1.Korps project is still alive, but painting this unit really makes me crazy and slow, don't know why. I try to mix figures from different companies and I have painted for the first time some A Call to Arms Frenchmen. Very tiny and small. But my idea was to build them as a unit with mixed uniforms after a long period where this duchy was a cue ball from Napoleon. I hope I can finish the last eight figures soon. After that some more cavalry is coming. :sweatdrop: :sweatdrop: :sweatdrop:

I was a bit surprised at the white, but when I saw they came from Berg it made sense. Great figures!

And after ages now another small update:

I finally managed to finish the 29. Line Infantry Regiment. It was for some reason boring and even if I am a real fan of the HaT set 8041, it was really hard to paint. The times have changed and we can expect more from the producers actually. Now I can restart this project, which I really want to finish. Keep your fingers crossed, my dear hobby colleagues!

For me they look good in her white uniforms with all the painted details.
And the hot temperatures of the past days make no effect to your green grass.
You water it a lot, right?

Since a half year I get a hang down in modelling, too.
The Dio in front of me need only the figures , the next is 70% finished and the one for my workmate (3d print) is 10% started.

So Mabo you are not alone in slow modelling output.

These are really nice, and very interesting for me to see these Prussian gunners.

Very nice indeed.

The Prussians seem to be tarred as boring but I like them very much.

Best wishes,

Chris

Les grognards are standing in good order, mumbling and complaining: they demanded the Emperor soil and grass under their feet. He is now working on that

Jan, I wonder how all that white could have bored you? Too easy to paint? Too Austrian?

Hello Andrea, it was just because the details of the figures are hard to paint. And white is always hard to match. And the rest is: I don't know...

But now I started again and I hope I can finish all the stuff on the table one after the other.

Don't tell me. I loved the Revell old guard in winter coat and I am not looking forward to panting the Zvezda old guard. The only think I really looking forward is to smashing your Prussian on the battlefield.... :cowboy:
