Just a quick update to keep this topic alive. I started painting the Prussian 1.Korps Reserve Artillery.
The HäT figs are really outdated but to beat Andreas Frenchies it will be ok.

I hope there comes the time when a producer creates a 1813-1815 Prussian Artillery-set in plastic.

That's a really good idea.

These HaT figures are good enough but the ones I got do seem to be suffering from Pirates Disease (sunken chests). It wouldn't hurt if someone made a new set of Prussian artillery.

You've made them look very soldierly here though, I'm sure they will give good service.

Finally I managed to finish three artillery pieces. This set is really crap and therefore it took me quite a while to paint and base the figures for my running project.

We have already discussed that it would be nice to have a good Prussian Artillery Set in plastic. I am really wondering when Strelets or Linear-A will make one...

Here are some pics. I will try to convert the missing figures into pioneers. However I'ill do later. Now I would like to paint a set I like, maybe Prussian Uhlans.

But at least you can see: I am still working on this project!

You have done a fine job with these old HaT Prussian artillerymen.

I do agree that Napoleonic Prussian artillery has not been sell-served in 1/72 plastic, and there is a definite need for a better set than this. But they do serve a purpose, and you have made them look very good.

Dunno - these older HaT sets all look crappy. Nevertheless a good solution with a satisfying result. You know I chose NewLine figures and altough they are fairly good modelled, they look a bit dwarfish. Perhaps I'll have a try on the Prussian horse artillery from Art Miniaturen - but in plastic... well... in 1/72 no chance.

It's hard to keep on painting when the sculpts are not inspiring. Then it's just a job that needs to be done and you showed character to get it done.
I also love the muddy look of the bases.

Some of them are better than others but the artillery-sets are all really basic
Art Miniaturen are really good. I had paint them twice.

In the meantime I have finished to paint the last Artillery piece and an officer. The set is still not my favorite, but okay, now it is done. The officer is from the Waterloo1815 set of Prussian Infantry. I have found different informations about the colour of his epaulettes. Does anyone know how it really was and is right. I painted them gold.











I think I will continue with the 4th Hussars... maybe...
