Wow those officers look amazing! It's nice to hear that other people have painting slumps too, I haven't painted for months but seeing lovely Naps like this is getting me inspired again!

After months here is a small update to reanimate this project:

The 3rd Prussian Uhlan Regiment. 1.Brigade Reserve Cavalry 1.Korps.

I used the new Strelets Uhlans which are the presentation of the 6th Uhlans (ex Lützow) in their special uniform. I realised after Zed1 (Sascha) pointed out this in another thread. So I had to do some smaler painiting conversions. It is ok for me, since these are for a wargaming in the future with Mr.Andreas French army, already looking for an escape route, from the battlefield.

I hope I can present the men on their horses soon, to end their torture.

Beautiful painting bringing these figures to life.

The Prussians are usually accused ( wrongly in my opinion) of being dour but these are lovely.

Best wishes,

Chris

That's the problem with containment: you can't share a bottle or a beer with any friend... We are friends, aren't we ?

I like your post. How many painted soldiers do you have already? And how many soldiers will have finally your army?

Hello and thanks. At the moment I have 188 painted figures for this project. In the end? I do not know, maybe four times that number, still a long way to go. ;-)

Before the second year of this project ends, I can add some new pics to this topic.

Here you see the 3rd Uhlans (Brandenburg) 1.Brigade Cavalry Reserve

As you could read in the posts before I used the Strelets Uhlans, which are created as 6th Uhlans (Lützow). So I had to do some small painting conversions. For me this is acceptable.

The Oberst (or Oberstleutnant?) leading the Uhlans is named August Leopold von Stutterheim.
I added the special figure form HäT to the base, because Mr.von Stutterheim needs something he want to touch and the baby coming with the set does not fit on a battlefield. So now he want to read the orders his colleague is reading.

I also finished and based the Commander of the 1. Brigade Reserve Cavalry:

Karl Alexander Wilhelm von Treskow

I found several sources dealing with the 4th Hussars (1st Silesian Hussars). Somewhere I read they are detached to the 1.Brigade of Infantry. So my idea was giving the Commander an hussar on his base tranfering oders to this regiment. The other figure is one of the representatives of the Prussian Ministry of War. Adding him on the base is pure speculation, but I think it is good looking...

The 1. Brigade of the Cavalry Reserve of the 1. Prussian Corps at Waterloo looks like this at the Moment. Except the 4th Hussars this formation is complete. Visited here by Generalleutnant Hans Ernst Karl von Zieten (Zieten II) Commander of the 1.Corps at Waterloo.
