Krak des Chevaliers

Posted by Cryns on 21 Sep 2018, 14:52

Dear Michael Robert,

My compliments to you for your continuing work in foam, with a result that is getting better and better throughout the process.

At age sixteen I started to draw a historical comic about the history and the construction process of the Krak des Chevaliers. I never finished it.

I hope you, in turn, will finish this diorama all to the end.
I look forward to see the final result. Good luck!

Super cool modelling! I missed the last post on this topic.

I turned the pictures to upright that were laying on their side.
So all who view can now see them much better.
I hope this is OK with you Michael. BB

Hello
certainly, I am a rare visitor right now and my project is crawling along, but it advances. Actually, more in figure painting. However, here are more pictures of the inner castle. From now the outer castle will be constructed.
Thank you all for your kind comments. Always inspiration and encouragement.

Somehow Tinypics charges the upright pictures turned and I do not know how to turn them correct again. Sorry for that. Don't hurt your neck or you back when tilting the screen.
More pictures hopefully a bit sooner.

Many greetings
Michael

Hello,

the construction of our crusader castle continues. Now the basic outer works are carved. All fine structure, details and, of course, colouring are missing, but hey, it's "in progress".
The only important part still missing of the "gros œuvre" are a kind of craftsmans' houses which will be plucked against the inner castle wall. Next time.

Again, pictures not turned right. I'll get that one correct one day.

Thanks for looking
Greetings
Michael

It will be smashing when figures are added. Men at arms and knightly fellows wielding great swords.
Others with siege tower and battering rams.___ Or simply a Guide showing tourists around.
Of course all the great swords must have names like mine does. `Leets Dleiffehs'. :-D BB

Hello,

Benno' forum was down for some time and now I look and see your comments.
Thank you very much - motivation can only get stronger.

Many thanks to BB for turning my pictures straight.
... and yes, there are already lots of painted men. I am never truly happy with photography. Individually, they are not stunning like some of the artists here on site. I'll try to have them in numbers and then it will become nicer.

Happy modelling away (but next time will only be in 2 weeks as I am travelling)
Cheers
Michael

Hello
some progress on my Ayuobid army.

Just a small parade on the kitchen table - no good weather, no good light.
Had my fun painting these colourful guys.

Cheers Michael
