Nice painting! Like the colours.
Just got the set myself, and am quite impressed by the sculpting, compared with some previous HaT Ancient sets (won't mention the Late Roman artillery officer with no shoulders...) But there's still the HaT 'Ha'porth of Tar' factor: is there any technical reason for the flat shields? And what's with the funny boots???

The flat shields are a pain for sure, as for the boots....? It is a bit strange, sandals or bare feet I would have thought
