Scots Infantry 1815

Posted by Lacc on 22 Feb 2018, 19:37

My next project is a vignette about a small scene of a Scottish regiment in the Napoleonic era. This time I have preferred to paint few figures and enjoy their painting without making a complicated base. I hope you like it.

My second painted figure.

Ttwo small transformations,
I changed the hat to the drummer and I changed the stick of the left hand to eliminate the flash between the stick and the body.

I've also taken off this soldier's hat to break the monotony with his two mates in the line of fire.

One question, I have painted the details on the collar and sleeves of the yellow jacket ... does anyone know what regiment wore those colors?
Thank's
Regards, Alfredo

Terrific painting. When great figures and great painting come together we can expect a great vignette. Very much looking forward to seeing further progress.

Thanks for your comments, mates! :-D :yeah:

FredG, thank you very much for your post, now I know what regiment I'm painting, the drawings will help me. Thanks, indeed.

Udo, that you like my style of painting is very flattering for me. Your jobs inspire me, thank you.
In fact, you are the best painter of 1/72 figures nowday. In my opinion, of course.

Oh boy, each figure is a piece of art. I can only imagine how good it will be when finished.
