Good idea nice combination.

You show us two options for your planned Shara Fort.
The first option without tiles fit into a dessert to my eyes.
The second option we can see look like more for a roman camp without the brown house.

Eh, with so much work of your own, maybe you just as well scratchbuild the whole thing? I love the idea to combine two forts, but you are adding so much so it is almost like you make it all from start. However, lovely project that I hope to follow!

Hi , friends. :yeah:

Texture and color.

I'm using the following formula, from left to right:
1- white glue.
2 - Mass for finishing of construction, in two different colors.
3- Water.
Image

I mix 4 parts of the lighter mass, with 1 part of the darkest one.
I add white glue to the water. Then I mix everything, as if I were making cement.
The white glue sticks to the mixture firmly, without loosening, in the plastic.
The texture of the piece will depend on the amount of water used.

When applying with a brush, the color will appear very dark, but after drying it becomes much clearer, as you can see in the last photo.

Hi Ochoin.
Many thanks .
Friends' comments are encouragement to continue the work.

Now the well.

I used again, home building material. this time, plastic pipe connections.
I used the same technique of texture of the walls of the fort, but with less amount of water mixed with glue and greater amount of mass in the dissolution.

Your figures are once more a great creation. And I like your idea for the well. Simple but clever and good looking!

Interesting comments guys, especially the one from our great Forum friend Gunnar, who raised the question of scratch building it all.

The original complete opened kit £70.00 could be saved by the pieces being used as templates to draw around. This would be a good choice for any budding enthusiast who have one, and who wants to dabble and toy around with glue and a dozen or so extra pieces costing very little.

However this is not a criticism of this work,`Which has been beautifully put together' ,
but more of an alternative route that others could follow if they wished. :-D OK?

Splendid works indeed Jaques.

Hi , friends.

thanks for the comments and compliments. they are stimulus in the continuation of this long work.

continuing ...
Accessories :

Optional wooden platforms.
The materials used are thin acetate pieces of packaging, super glue and ice cream sticks.
Image[/url[url=https://postimages.org/]hosting images

The toothpicks are easy to cut with scissors, in the size you want. By having a much lower price than balsa wood, you do not have to worry about making a mistake and losing the piece. comes a lot of quantity in the packaging.
Image

After cutting the toothpicks to the size you want, use super glue and place the toothpicks on the piece of acetate to give firmness and stability between the joints of the toothpicks, but the piece of acetate should be smaller so that it does not appear in the final work.
Image
Image

After the dry piece, you can, with a blade, make incisions to give the impression that several woods are glued together.
Image

It is possible to make other constructions using this technique, spending little money. The end result is that.

Feeder.
Used material :
Epoxy paste, dried garden grass, white glue, varnish and paint dye wall.
I made the epoxy feeder, pasted the grass with glue, and the water was made from the varnish mixture with dye. The texture was made in the same way as the walls of the fort.
