She's looking a little more businesslike now :-)

I've bored her out to 4mm which equates to 288mm in 1/72 scale so that's just under 10". It'll do me for a 10" British siege mortar. :P

It'll not just be rain, it'll be a thunderstorm.

Oh what a busy day. The figures are almost done. A bit of washing and bases painted should do them. Possibly a spot or two to tidy up.
They're not looking too bad.

I've put the one MrsG refers to as 'the zombie' to the side. I just can't get him to look like anything reasonable.

coming together very nicely. The figures look good, the gabbions and horses are excellent and I really like the way you've done the grey paint on the gun carraige and wagon.

Save the zombie for service in the Carribean, he'll do well there.

I assume you mean that 'why the hell is he wearing a waistcoat' figure. It is an oddity, I wondered if I might give him a pickaxe and set him to work in a sap.

I think the figures are done. Unless anyone's spotted something I've missed.

It's basing time :P

Make the gun platform for the field piece.

Image

Make three more sections of planking, paint, wash and add to the prepared base. Add emplacement and gabions.

Wait for the PVA to set,

Wish the table was bigger so could start another set whilst waiting :(

I've used earth type scatter to the front of the gabions. I've also filled some areas behind and am now adding figure. The important ones first (Chickens :P ).

The glue is drying and pieces are in position. Moving to Gallery when the water in the bucket turns clear (or I paint it silver).

Some spare buttons for Peter to apply where necessary.

No problem Gunnar, he can put the figures on the buttons.

By the way, Don't ever feel like you have to appologise for showing me a film clip that has Audrey Hepburn AND Wifred Hyde-White in it. Better than anything I've seen on TV this year.
