I like those elephants. Are they from Zvezda?

Yes the ones with towers are from Zvezda, they are supposed to be used for Successor Wars so they have successor state symbols on them, The others are from HäT´s ancient Indian line.

Phalanx is done, around 120 figures, not a full speira still enough though, elephants are done, Macedonian cavalry done, painted some of the Indian infantry, Macedonian light infantry, Thracians, Greeks from HäT and Zvezda. There are obvious size differences between the Zvezda Greeks and the HäT macedonians but once painted and mixed perhaps it's not that noticeable. Also, the Zvezda greeks aren't that appropriate for Alexander's battles but I couldn't find any better figures in fighting poses. Gonna order some more sets for the Macedonian infantry, waiting for Caesar's Arab beduin sets that will act as Ancient Indians.

Some of the Indian infantry of Porus army are more or less ready. This is a mix of Caeasar Sea Peoples and Arabs, with some shields from Tumbling Dice. The Caesar sets are sadly now discontinued.

Great joy to view your stuff Amos. They look splendid, and rather prickly too.

They look so more as poor macedonian casualties in Pydna or Kynoscephalos!

About the concave face of shields I would not mind so much.. a flat or wooden brown in my opinion is enough... as another example, someone knows which real colours and emblema had the early imperial scutum in both faces? I do not think anyoen really knows..only specuñations there

A new batch of Porus Indians are also ready to enter the fray but have to wait for some grass on their bases.

Found some sprues of the phalangites which I painted, not a fan of the blue helmets from a historically accurate point of view but they look good.
