Am I right in thinking that our shaver was an Airfix WW1 Royal Artillery man?

Yes, you are right.
He is one trophy of of a bunch of figures that I get as single figure.
In the past at Heiden model show there was the now gone seller BB Toys.
In huge car board boxes he sell single different 1/72 figures. 5 or 10 Euro cent each.
The real problem was to pass his booth without " Ah! Let`s have a look again. Maybe ..."
Always, always after some minutes I get a " need it !" :-D

I call it not for nothing Dogfight. Please bear with me.

The French troops would surely be in horizon blue by this time?

As sansovino already mentioned the uniforms are a bit of artistic license.
The Dio show not a first line position. So I decide a mixture of uniforms. But I get no proof for that.

Thank you for your comment.

I don't think that Wiking intends a definite timeline in this Diorama.

Right.
My planned planes and there timeline of service seems to correlate not so well.

Very nice WW1 gun and tractor, Wiking. I see the tractor is loaded with jokes.

Wouldn't it be fun if they got the cannon balls and bon bons mixed up?

Is the drivers gas mask protecting him from the drugs or the perfume? Or is it just hiding his face while he's antique 'collecting'? :xd:

I check the Internet about this particular kit.
First I realize that the mold are from 1966 !
The both reports in German stated in the beginning of fitting problems with this kit !
True !
On the other side the price was very customer friendly.
The important point is: It is the only available kit in 1/72.

Let me see what I can do with superglue (Gel), filler, patience, time, and something for my nerves.

Yes, death by butterscotch impact.

I see you also loaded the very toxic chemical substance codenamed 4711!
My grandmother always tried to narcoticize us with it, but we survived, my brother and I!

I saw an building report of my 3rd planned plane. Oh! Oh! Many, many mistakes in the kit.
Can live with the most of it. But the underside of each wing is totally wrong.
I take me some time if I use it as it is or go the stony way again and sand each (!) wing.

Meanwhile There was to do a decision between a RPM Ford ambulance and

was the winner.
Including the next problem. It is a German one. Ok, could be captured. Possible.
But it is from WWII.
Hät do one for WWI too. But in one box are three. Need only one.
So I try to erase all traces.

No, I do not change from dogfight to horsefight.
The right one will not stand alone.

Perhaps a few Nuns crossing the road oblivious as to what is going on?
A Priest would be in hiding somewhere nearby.
Perhaps his eyes could be viewed under a slightly lifted up manhole cover in the road?
The horses used to be in a Circus?
