It's gonna be an amazing parade, mates! Another great entry on the horizon! Marvin keeps his standards very high!

Meanwhile, I managed to unbox and line up my bersaglieri for the primer. I put my work in motion,

I'm a big fan of Waterloo 1815s figures. And I'm a big fan of Mr. Andrea's figures. Therefore - I am looking forward to seeing these very much!

Just popped in to let Gunnar know that Paul,( not me. )
,did paint those AIRFIX Bods as he calls them.
My best efforts are producing quite a lot of fine finger painting.
I hope to show some snaps real soon with them off the tins.BB

A friend did mention on my blog, and I agreed with him, that the E is missing from Parade!
A little thing to fix and put right at the very same time by somebody. BB

Jan, the problem is simple, the name is to long!
Next time call it the "FIGZ Parade" :P

If someone gives a reaction, in front it says Re: ....Parad and the last letter doesn't fit anymore.
So now she can give her excuse to you, and a nice kiss would be normal
Keep up the good work!

Ohw and special for Diana, I solved it to delete the space directly behind the ":"
So a kiss for me as well :P

Yesterday saw me putting another coat of red and blue upon 75 of my tiny AIRFIX fellows. It also saw me making a short waffling video while painting ,that I posted on You Tube. It seems everyones loving my use of the old tins, and can oddly see a certain benefit in using them. I remarked to Paul,of Paul`s Bods, that it is also a lot easier to count the figures by multiplication.

I also repainted the rifle slings white they will look much better.
So the next stage is to try and paint the white lines up the front of the figure, figures one and all that have no detail on them whatsoever. No not even a button! Or a hint of a button.
So it is down to my eye to plot a course upon a sea of red and try doing that white problematic line.
Paul did it so it can be done.
:sst: "but can bb? "_________________ ;-) Kinda watch this space! It might be fun.BB

I am approaching the finishing line!

His Majesty's 17th Regiment of Foot are nearly painted, just the command figures requiring more work. The drummer has lots of detail still to do while the officers / ensign require final touches.

I've done a little arm-twisting for the sake of variety on this figure -

Image

Here is the drummer and ensign requiring more work. Painting a crinkly flag is tricky, let me tell you! The union flag is difficult enough on a flat surface... :eh:

Image

"Attack!"

"No, retreat!"

My two sergeants with halberds have a disagreement in their interpretation of orders -

Image

The sergeants remind me of some lines from a Rudyard Kipling poem, "The Men that Fought at Minden":

The men that fought at Minden, they was armed with musketoons,
Also, they was drilled by halberdiers;
I don't know what they were, but the sergeants took good care
They washed be'ind their ears.

Enough of that. I can soon sit back and enjoy all the other work in the project. :-D

@MABO - when I'm finally done, I'll send you a PM... :thumbup:

A drum roll for Remco,i believe just 1 need doing but fear it would be lost in the Parade.
:coffee: "Like trying to find a haystack in a large field of needles."
A soldier carrying a little FIGZ Flag fluttering in the breeze upon that shinny day would be good
 Good job they aint Japanese soldiers they all carry flags stuck on their backs.BB

Hello Marvin. I am once more flashed by your paintwork. They will look so wonderful when finished. And one can see how nice these RedBox figures are. The three sets from 1745 are worth to buy them in my point of view.

Do you have a preferred background for the figures. Where did they serve?

Hi Jan, yes I too think RedBox's 1745 range are very impressive. There ought to be more 1/72 plastic figs from the early - mid 18th century in my opinion.

During this era, the 17th Regiment served in the French and Indian War - in modern-day Canada - and also the West Indies. But I'm happy to leave it to your imagination!

I too have been admiring the red box figures donated and painted by our member Marvin
 Perhaps I will look into it, as buying not painting is a compulsive disorder thing for me. ;-) BB

Unfortunately laid low for the last few days with a nasty bug, so have only managed to start work on further figures this evening.

Here are the beginnings of my modest Group Build contribution.
