Dromedaries

Posted by FredG on 11 Jan 2017, 20:39

I've been a little sidetracked with these. I started them last year when I had to solder new tails on them as they'd broken in transit. Then I didn't like the way they were painting up so they sat for a while. I restarted them as I'd had an idea which was working on the horses.
I think they look like camels now so I'm happy with the results.

Now I need to get the riders painted up :P

The painting of the riders is progressing.

It shouldn't be too long until these are finished. Unless I get sidetracked again of course :P

Yes Carlos, I used a soldering iron and made new tails on the models. Remarkably I didn't burn myself but I do recall quite bit of muttering while I was doing it.

Well I've finished painting and based them so here's my version of the Corps de Dromedaires. The officers are extremely ugly which is a shame for the camels. All riders have a very small piece of Blue/ White tack to help hold them on as they're not brilliant fits.

I'm very happy with the camels :-D
